Bellevue Heritage Days 2022
We’re still reflecting on how much fun we had at this year’s Bellevue Heritage Days! The weekend-long celebration included live music, games, delicious food, local talent & so. much. fun!
The fun started Friday, July 1st out at Off Shore’s Event Center. This was the 1st Annual Heritage Days Kick-Off Party. We grooved to some great tunes by the Brown Bottle Bandits (formerly known as BadFish), played bags out on the patio & soaked in the beautiful river view. Off Shore’s Event Center now boasts two bars, so there was no shortage of cold drinks!
On Saturday, the festivities started at lunchtime and continued through the night. Local talent rocked our amazing local businesses, including the American Legion, and Sushi Roll & The Love Monkeys rocked Cole Park! Absolute Music hosted a super fun youth dance complete with great music, fun lights & cool prizes. The children’s inflatables & games also opened Friday!
Sunday was the Big Day! We started the day with the big Heritage Days Parade! There were so many fun floats, tractors & neat things to see. This year, the Heritage Days Committee hosted a Float Contest, too. The turnout was great.
We celebrated the Bellevue Emergency Medical Services 50th anniversary with a ceremony at Cole Park. 50 years of service in Bellevue - we are so grateful for our EMS team!
The Heritage Days Prince & Princess were also crowned & the 4th grade essay contest winners were introduced! The Bellevue Fire Department did their annual Flag raise, too. We had great dance performances from local dance teams. The kids enjoyed a fun pedal tractor pull, free swimming at the Bellevue Pool, lots of fun on the ball diamonds with the inflatables, mini golf, laser tag & more! Ron Moraga drew caricatures, the Bellevue Fire Department hosted BINGO & of course we can’t forget the yummy food vendors! Ribeye sandwiches, loaded nachos, funnel cakes, Grandpa’s Parlour ice cream, burgers, and so much more filled the tables up at Cole Park.
How could we forget about BLOWING UP A CAR?! We did that, too. (Technically, it didn’t “blow up”, but it did run for quite a few minutes without any fluids!) Live music played throughout the day while chainsaw carvings happened, children enjoyed the petting zoo & there were pony rides! The Cole Park festivities wrapped up with a bags tournament where 50 teams entered!
Downtown, we enjoyed the BBQ Cookoff & more delicious food vendors & great live music. Ski Bellevue wowed the packed riverbank with their amazing performance! Check out this photo by Scott Hoag Photography.
Our 3 Chamber Raffle big winners were drawn right before the amazing fireworks display and just like that; another incredible Heritage Days was here and gone. Thank you SO much to the Bellevue Heritage Days committee, volunteers & sponsors who helped make this event such a fun and enjoyable time.
We hope to see you next year on July 1st & July 2nd, 2023!
